Enthusiast Report: Luxury Motors
Rolls-Royce unveils Project Nightingale the first-ever Coachbuild Collection and one of the most ambitious creations in the marque’s history.
Limited to just 100 hand-built examples worldwide, this all-electric open-top masterpiece channels the glamour of the Art Deco era while redefining modern luxury motoring.
Highlights of Project Nightingale:
• Inspired by the legendary experimental “EX” Rolls-Royce motor cars of the 1920s
• Fully electric drivetrain delivering near-silent open-air motoring
• Coachbuilt entirely by hand at Goodwood, West Sussex
• Massive 5.76-meter grand touring design with a dramatic two-seat convertible layout
• Streamline Moderne-inspired “monolithic” body sculpted with uninterrupted flowing surfaces
• Features the largest wheels ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce at 24 inches
• Distinctive vertical lighting and stainless-steel detailing throughout
• “Starlight Breeze” interior suite with 10,500 illuminated stars inspired by birdsong soundwaves
• Bespoke materials and finishes developed exclusively for the 100 owners
• Invitation-only ownership experience with curated global events and private gatherings
• Deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028

Named after “Le Rossignol” — the French Riviera residence of Sir Henry Royce’s designers and engineers Project Nightingale represents the future of ultra-luxury automotive design while honoring the fearless innovation of the brand’s heritage.

Rolls-Royce describes the experience of driving Project Nightingale with the roof lowered as being “akin to travelling by sailing yacht” where silence allows occupants to hear the world around them with extraordinary clarity.

An extraordinary glimpse into the future of coachbuilt luxury.
